Mortal Kombat II is a decent game for Sega Game Gear. You don't get all of the characters, but the game still gets the job done. Sub Zero, Scorpion, Mileena, Kitana, Liu Kang, Jax, Shang Tsung, and Reptile are among your selection of kombatants. You can fight Smoke and Jade if you do what is needed. This makes up for Rayden and Johnny Cage being left out. For the first time on Game Gear, you get to do a Pit Fatality. The graphics are nice for what the Game Gear has to offer and the music isn't bad either. The finishing moves are slightly different for Reptile, Liu Kang and Jax though. All in all, the fatalites are cool. Sub Zero's Deep Freeze is my favorite of them all. Kintaro and Shao Kahn definitely put up a fight in this version. If you enjoyed the first Mortal Kombat game, be sure to add this to your collection. This one gets the job done. I won't even go into details about MK3 for Game Gear(read my review about it if you choose). MK II is for sale on eBay for a decent price. Pick your copy up today.Read full review
Great button mashing game, but a little skill in time can help :-) This game is best with gear to gear. Not a bad game certainly not like the arcade or even the consoles of the time. It is however a two player capable game with two arenas and many characters. using the start button as the block was neat also.
Highly recommended thanks for the game.

Classic Fighting Game! Pretty decent port for the Game Gear too! Just with it had Johnny Cage and Babalities and Friendships...
Far cry from SNES, but you might get a kick on how it is put together. It's still unlike any other mortal kombat 2.
