There are 2 genres of games the Saturn does better than anyone; light gun shooters and shoot em ups. This game is the perfect example of why I still play the Saturn after so many years. Its fast, action packed and loads of fun. Its even more fun with 2 players (but you obviously need 2 guns for that). I prefer it over the first Virtua Cop and I think it was the best light gun shooter until house of the dead 2 came out. It still stands up today, the game is a blast and the graphics are classic Saturn style. Just be aware that light guns don't work on new flatscreen/hd tv's. This is why I always keep a CRT television in my house (any classic gamer would do the same)
The Good :) The game looks better, Stages are fun, branching paths more replay, arcade Action on your sega saturn, Game Is cheap some times. Very fun with the Gun. The Bad: This Kind of game is short and is beaten to fast & Music is not as good as the 1st game. Who should buy this :? Fans of the 1st game & People who like Light gun games. Why I Bought this : Fan of the 1st Game and makes use of my light gun. Fun to shoot them bad guys. cheap price fun with 2 guns go all out. Cheat Mode From the cheat menu, players determine such attributes as Big Head mode, Options Plus menu, and Weapon Select. With a light gun in port 1 and a controller in port 2, press Up, Down, Up, Down, A, X, B, Y, C, Z at the title screen. (A gunshot confirms correct entry.)
Sega AM2 team has done it again! Virtua Cop 2 is fast, simple, fun and has great graphics. It's way better than other 3D first person shooting games on the Sega Saturn. If you have another player and a stunner (gun), you will have maximum enjoyment! If you don't have a gun? No problem! Try playing this game with a Sega Saturn Virtual Stick. Set the "turbo" option on the shot button and you will be able to kill every single enemy on the screen! If you are looking for a cheap and enjoyable game, look no further. Pick up Virtua Cop 2! It's an arcade perfect translation.
I bought this game because it was cool & that I needed more saturn games, it also makes poor common sense just to have the first game and like it but not get the 2nd. Pros: gameplay, control, challenge, all-time fun factor, multiplayer. Cons: Pretty much nothing.
This version of the Light Gun is an excellent choice. Able to auto-fire and auto-reload makes playing virtua cop a little easier for my family. Also the size of it is more confortable then the original Light Gun. Loving every bit of this game and gun is great.
