Virtual On: Cyber Troopers on the Sega Saturn is a port of Sega's arcade game of the same name. The game is primarily a fighter that allows you to do battle with one of eight robots: Apharmd, Bal-Bas-Bow, Belgdor, Dorkas, Fei-Yen, Raiden, Temjin, or Viper II. Each of the robots has their own strengths and weaknesses as well as a variety of individual weapons.

Battles take place in one of ten fully rendered arenas. The camera follows you from behind as you shoot, dive, and leap into the air, raining electric death onto those below. Use buildings as cover and remember to keep tabs on your energy usage. If you're too trigger-happy you'll find that your power levels will be nil. While controls for the game can be altered, this game is designed to be used with the Sega Twin Sticks controller.

This was for sure the best Sega Saturn fighting game by a mile. Quick gameplay, interesting variety of strengths/weaknesses for each fighter. Pretty good graphics for the time, intuitive controls, kinda cool music to boot.

It won't load at all. I have other Saturn games that work on my console. The disc is in good shape but won't even get to a loading step past the Saturn start up.

virtual on goodness!
The first in the series, and one of the best. As the saturn version is not as good as the arcade, but still very impressive. I first played the game at the arcade, and just fell in love with it. You might not even realize, but the dual joysticks is no different from the analog sticks on a playstation controller. with the dual joystick controller, which the decals look similar to the arcade, I was able to play my favirote arcade game at home. this game is a must if you have a saturn and love robo-fighters.
