Sonic likes gold rings (kinda effeminate), Mario eats mushrooms (cooler than rings), Bonk eats meat (manly!) I assume you've played the original (Bonk's adventure). They improved the graphics, music and gameplay from the first. Think the difference between Super Mario Bros. to Super Mario 3 for the NES. I think this game can easily be argued to be better than the original sonic or mario games. It boils down to personal preference. Like the other two classic characters, Bonk is surrounded by simplistic gameplay, graphics that really display what the system it is on can do, and an addictive quality to it. Everything a great classic needed then and it translates well to now. Few games stand the test of time; this is one of them.

Bonk's Revenge is continuation of the Bonk series as there are three games in the Bonk line of games. Retro games etc will concur this game is one for the ages and definitely a collector's item !!

This is a great old game for the TurboGrafx-16. I enjoyed teh first Bonk game and suspected that I would enjoy its follow up, Bonk's Revenge. Things are pretty familiar to those who played teh first game. There are slight additions and improvements. I think you can literally say there is more platforming in the second Bonk game over the first. There is more vertical movement and more choices in the directions you progress. I enjoyed this game as much as I enjoyed the first Bonk.
Did you ever notice that most sequels are not as good as the first? That is definitely true here. Bonk's Adventure had very tight game play and was a blast to play. Bonk's Revenge is more colorful and has better graphics but the play is not quite as good. This game tends to get pretty frustrating after playing Bonk's Adventure. This is only for the skilled and patient player.
