I bought this game a few years back figuring I would like it because it sounded like Pokemon. The premise was the same but I couldn't get into the game. I found it boring for some reason and too much like Pokemon. Don't get me wrong though, the graphics were good for a GBC game and it is a decent game. I just couldn't get into the game and stopped playing it like 3 days after I got it.
I bought this item becasue I'm a huge fan of Magi-Nation and I wish the card game was still in print. However, the game-boy game is a little bit of a let down. Sure it's got a bunch of characters from the card game and it's nice to see them come to life, but the game play is a bit too borring. With some better design, it could've been a great game.
