Gameplay is fine, plenty of finesse afforded to skating, shooting & strategy considering the platform. But the real standout in this title is the Draft Prospects side of the house where you can create and draft players for your roster over seasons and manage lines. Don't let your star players get injured or they'll do a gnarly backflip and have to sit out a few. Certainly not the best hockey game ever made* but one of my throwback faves. Will somebody please pick up Chandler? He's /still/ at the concession booth. *Blades of Steel, duh

Breakaway '98 This game isn't very good. Graphics are bad, controls are shoddy, goalies are easy to score on... then not so easy, it's just not a very good hockey game at all. I don't recommend buying this, if you're looking for a good N64 game pick up NHL 99 or Wayne Gretzky 3D Hockey. Final Verdict: 2/5 Worth Buying?: NOPE!!!
Not bad for a hockey game. Sports games from this generation dont age well, but its fun for nostalgic reasons.
works great i don't understand why i have to write a review.... i bought this because i wanted it...
