It's always a little disturbing to think that the $350 Intellivision console, the $75 Intellivoice module and the $40 game cartridges, as they were priced circa 1983 in Canadian dollars, adjusted for inflation would probably now buy me an XBox , PS3 and a couple of Wii's. Still, I think Dad's birthday gift to my little brother that year was appreciated for a long time after by all of us. Now, of course, I'm trying to replace my collection. B17 Bomber ( or "Bee Sebumteem Bawwmur" as the Intellivoice pronounced it ) was a pretty awesome game - part flight simulator, part first person shooter, part strategy game - it made for a fun evening ( hey, it was 1983 remember - CBC TV the only channel and the VCR was a betamax....). The addition of the gurgly, 8-bit synthesized voices was more of a distraction than a feature, but they were fun to mimic. Intellivision collecting is as good a hobby as any - most of the pieces are readily available on ebay or at flea markets, usually in good condition and priced low enough not to break the bank. As well, the electronics seem to last forever - I don't have a single, non-functioning cartridge. I do have a console that died, but considering it cost me $10 at a garage sale, I'm not complaining. There are, of course, the Holy Grails in Intellivision collecting - the keyboards, computers and test cartridges - only for those not faint of heart and of deep pockets. Also, don't expect your collection to be an investment for the kids' college funds - like any collectible, you should do it for the fun. But do start now, I've noticed of late some thrift stores have started putting their systems behind glass and tripling the asking price... I guess someone, somewhere has decided these are "true collectibles"...Read full review

I really liked this game, It has pretty nice graphics for the time and speech is just cool, like when it says the title, I just have laugh its so hilarius. the gameplay is pretty easy to understand and the controlls are as good as it can be for Intellivision. overall, its a good game and if you have an intellivision with a voicemodule, you should really consider adding this to you collection

B-17 Bomber for the Intellivision is an amzing game. It uses the Intellivoice Module to perfection. This has to be the best early flight sim type of games on earth. Not only do you fly the B-17 but you control all of the gunners, you navagate and drop the bombs all while fighting off enemy aircraft and dodging flack. This game is the best of the Intelivoice games (although Bomb Squad is also amazing and right behind it) If you own an INTV and an Intellivoice this game is a MUST have. Dean Hagerman
