During the first known console war, Atari and Intellivision were duking it out heavily. However, they were supporting each other as well by releasing select games on both consoles. One of these games Mattel created for the Atari 2600 and their own console; the Intellivision. This is one of those games. The Intellivision port of Lock N Chase makes their Atari-bashing commercials hold true to their claims. The visuals and sounds of this game are some of the best seen on the Intellivision; even when compared to other titles on the console. This is also one of few arcade titles that the console would receive. Those that like the arcade version (for those that remember it) will be right at home with this version. The controllers may take some time getting used to since the console doesn't have a typical joystick found on Atari consoles and arcade machines, but the game keeps a challenging and fun game play factor that makes this game fun and unique. If you can get a complete in box copy of this game, expect some colorful overlays for the controllers that will help with game play settings. If the game comes with instructions that would be a plus as well. However, they are not required as the game is easy to pick up and play...I suggest these for those who are not familiar with Intellivision. New and veteran gamers to the Intellivision will want this title in their collection. It offers hours of fun, colorful visuals (compared to the 2600 version), impressive game sounds that place it among the best in the Intellivision's game library.Read full review
