I bought this game since I enjoy platf...orm games and the characters usually associated with them. In Zool 2 you have a choice of a male and female space ninja (Zool and Zooz) which have different attacks that can result in a few multiple paths. You try to collect all the Chupa Chups candy throughout the levels to gain points, 1-ups, and advance. The problems I have with the game is it tries to copy Sonic by using the sense of speed, but ends up causing the frame rate to slowdown. This is really apparent when a lot of candy is collected. Another thing is the game does not look near as good as Sonic, which was released in 1991 on a 16 bit console. Also the enemies keep reappearing which is very frustrating especially with poor hit detection that's not quite as bad as Bubsy. Good luck with only 1 continue and no saves. A watered down Amiga Computer port for the Jaguar.
If you like platformers then you’ll l...ike this game. It’s not a next level game by any means but it’s fun and colorful.

Really fun side scrolling game... that is different than others where you need to collect items to finish the level. Don't forget to use the password function or the game can get pretty tedious and frustrating. Great sounds and graphics for the year! Good game for the price

Zool 2 is the sequel of Zool (really?), a platform... game born on Amiga computers. This game improves in every way its predecessor, becoming the second best platform on Jaguar after Rayman. Graphics are 16-bit quality, below machine potential, but Zool 2 runs very smooth. It's not the best versione of the game, the CD32 one has a CD-quality soundtrack, but it remains a nice title.
I don't like this game but it's one I needed for my lib...rary. Its slow paced and I would have to sit down and play for awhile to get the hang of it and I'm sure i can beat it in a day.
