Awesome open world Monster game. Its loosely based on the movie with a few changes. Your the boss orginize "jobs" whack your henchmen, customise your character and crew. You can even have them drive you around. I love this game people complain it's too short or too easy but there is a lot to do in this game. Casual or hardcore gamers should get a kick out of it. As far as open world gangster games go there are plenty but The Godfather 2 stands out by being uniquely different.

This game plays like Mob Wars- the online game you may be familiar with. Graphics are good, but the overall play is repetitive such as Mob Wars. I played the original Godfather game for PS2, and that was more action based than this, which seemed rushed, like they used the easiest possible game engine, that which happened to be popular online when it was released. Rather unoriginal.

I bought the game based on a trailer on viewed online. I don't have much experience with video gaming and this is one of the first PS3 games I played. It only took a few days to complete the game - start to finish...no cheat codes...but I enjoyed it. I like the auto aim feature, but at the same time, makes the game very easy...maybe too easy. In the later missions, make sure to bring a medic or two to avoid having to repeat levels (which can be frustrating). They can revive you over and over again until you complete the mission. When intimidating the location owners, point a gun or use the choke, to avoid an accidental kill.
This is a good game, but it took me about a week to get comfortable with it. It confused me with all the details in the game play and i almost gave up on it at first, but now that I have it down it is quite addicting. The map is like a satellite where you can zoom right in on the buildings and it also has a bit of a socom similarity in which you can travel with a squad and give orders in your attacks. The A.I is no where near advanced as socom but your team can take of itself pretty good and even help you when you are wounded.
I don`t give many games a "Excellent", but how can you not with this game. The first game was great. No doubt on that. This beats that game. At first I didn`t like it because you have to travel to Florida and Cuba, and I was not use to that seeing the first game you didn`t do that. You stayed in the City, but once you start playing the game for a hour, or 2. You understand why and the challenge it gives you. The first game when you played it was all about your character. This game has the same theme, but you build a Mob Family. I could set here and tell you for about an hour how great this is, but trust me. If you liked the first one then go get this one and start playing. Its a game that you play for 3 to 4 hours then stop. You then find yourself playing it again in 30 minutes, or so. The graphics are great, the plot, the shooting, everything is tremendous. You can attempt take overs. Its just like you read in books,or what you see on tv, but its in a game that you play. I see that you can purchase the game for $32.00 and $35.00. Go get it, in the stores it still runs for $59.95.Read full review
