Pole Position is one of the most fun and addicting games for the Vectrex. The screen overlay is an absolute necessity for this one. It is one of the few Vectrex screen overlays that actually registers concretely with the game graphics. The various colors give the landscape depth and a nice look. There is no button function for 'brakes', but you can shift down to 1st gear to slow down. Buttons are Gas, 1st Gear, 2nd Gear, Gas. ... Like many of the original Vectrex games, it only takes a few minutes to play one game of Pole Position. So maybe if you're an addict, Vectrex gaming will be less of a disruption in your life.:)
