“Uncharted 2: Among Thieves” for the PlayStation 3 was a blockbuster game when it was released in 2009. However, a special edition of Uncharted 2 was published with only 200 copies in existence: “The Uncharted 2 Fortune Hunter Edition.” This edition was developed and published by Naughty Dog and Sony Computer Entertainment, and was only given away at special promotions and to gamers who excelled at Uncharted 2 multiplayer. Because of this, the Fortune Hunter Edition is a rare game for the PS3. Included in each copy of the Fortune Hunter Edition is one copy of Uncharted 2 and the complete official strategy guide. You also receive an art book and the soundtrack CD. The highlights of this collection are a replica of the Phurba Dagger and the collector's case autographed by Naughty Dog developers. The dagger replica comes complete with a sturdy stand. Whether you're a fan of single-player or multiplayer games, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves offers a lot of features in both areas. The single-player campaign is a massive globetrotting adventure that takes 10 hours to complete on average. This campaign allows you to take control of Nathan Drake, a fortune-hunter and artifact collector following the lost fleet of Marco Polo. Throughout this campaign, a whole host of exciting characters who serve as both allies and adversaries join you. The Uncharted story has numerous twists and turns along the way, and the gameplay consists of visceral shooting and fun platforming. As Drake seeks his fortune, it's up to you to get him through the many challenges that lie ahead. As for multiplayer, you play as Drake or any other character from the game across nine maps and various modes. The online modes played over PSN are divided into competitive game modes and co-op modes. For the former, you play deathmatch, elimination, plunder, king of the hill, objectives, turf war, chain reaction, and are ranked against other players. Each of these has different rules and goals for you to complete. When you play online with a friend, the co-op playlists include co-op objective, co-op arena, survival, and gold rush. When you win a match online, you earn virtual cash that you use in-game for skins, weapons, and other interesting collectibles. These help you win the next match you play. With both the offline and online portions of this Uncharted PlayStation game, you have hours upon hours of gaming fun. If you ever get stuck in an area of the campaign, the strategy guide that comes with this limited edition helps out. This Uncharted game is exclusive to Sony PlayStation consoles. The “Uncharted 2: Among Thieves” game includes rich graphics, which are noticeable when traveling to such destinations as Nepal and Borneo. When playing this game, you also notice that there's no visible loading between areas and chapters, making for an immersive experience in the gameplay. If you enjoy action-adventure video games with multiple components, “Uncharted 2: Among Thieves” is a title you should check out.
