This entry probably veers the furthest from the Mario Party franchise of any in the series. It is a fun collection of mini games. The primary player in the house is our 7 year old who loves the Mario Party franchise. This game is not as intuitive for her but with a little time and assistance she has grasped the game play. The graphics and sound are very good considering the era and the platform. I would recommend this for anyone looking for good quality games for the GBA.

When I first bought this game I thought it would be much worse and thank god it wasn't. The board game is a little child like and somethimes funny. The bad news is that you can't play like a normal mario party thing were you role the dice trying to get the star. What I hate most about the board game is that you can only role 3 dice and you get another 2 if you win a mini-game. Then there are the mini-games... Well gladly it is much more fun than the board game will ever be. The mini-games are worth playing and some are difficult while other are way to easy. There are however bad mini-games or "gadgets" as the game would call them. These "gadgets" have no playing value what-so-ever. Of course some games are really fun while are just... well...sucks! There is no point to play other mini-games but the best. SO far as I've played this is that its good play this ONCE and only ONCE. So for my review I would give it 3/5 since its good, but not THAT good. It still needs improvement and other techniques added and the rest should be removed. What I noticed over the years of the Mario Party Series is that the games are getting to close to the story. Also the mini-games have no skill what so ever. So please if you want a real mario party game stick with the N64 version, THEY were worth the wait.Read full review
This is an underrated first party game for the GBA with an interesting story mode that often gets unduly overlooked and criticised online. It's not your typical Mario Party game, but its minigames are fun and its story mode offers much lore, as well as unique characters and dialog. Its price is fairly low and is worth a shot for Mario and Nintendo fans wanting to try something different that still has a Mario feel.

When I first ordered the game, it wasn't working. I had contacted the person who shipped the game telling him that it wouldn't start up. He sent me a new game and works great. I'm giving it 5 stars even though the first game didn't start because 1.) he was kind enough to send me another one with no charge and 2.) the game itself is awesome! Definitely recommend getting it if you're a MARIO party lover.

I bought this product because i love the mario party series and i thought that this would be a cool addition to my collection, plus me and some buddies like to have a tournament with all of the mario parties. if you can find one that is Complete in Box than this is a great party game for multiple people. However, the only way you can play it with multiple people is with the Game Board. Fear not though! if you are simply looking for a fun solo trip, than this is it! it has a great and original way of playing a solo adventure, and will take quite a while to finish completely. This game WILL last for a while.
