Amazing game play and concept. I love Final Fantasy music and the way that Square Soft (Enix) came up with this concept for a game is breath taking. The tutorial is simple and easy to understand, the game play is simply smooth and lovely. The music is a must and plus to the game play, the back ground images, videos, and colors are vibrant and beautiful. I love the fact that once you beat a level you unlock the music and can simply listen to it, or view the video of it. Can't go wrong with this game if you are a Final Fantasy lover, even better if you love the music to the games.
I bought this game because as someone who had just gotten the 3DS, I needed a game so I can actually play it. I saw this game was in the upcoming releases and I am a huge Final Fantasy fan. Once I knew it was out, I got the Limited Edition for the stylus and stickers. This game is AWESOME, not only does it take me back with songs from Final Fantasy games I grew up with, it made me want to play the new Final Fantasy games. The graphics are adorable and colorful, the music we all know and love. I think this game was a love letter to fans that have stuck with the franchise for as long as it's been around. It's easy for the beginner, but offers a challenge for those who are more experienced. If you love rhythm games and LOVE Final Fantasy music, this game is a must have. If not for the cute art, for the feelings of nostalgia that the music will put you through.Read full review
It's a very neat game, a bit relaxing and tailored to your type of play experience. If you don't want to lay back and tap, or be on the edge of your seat sweating, either is a viable option. You can choose play modes that don't make you scroll through and listen to all songs, hand feeding you songs from each game. This game is a bit unique from Guitar Hero style games in that you have adorable Final Fantasy characters that can level up as you play and be equipped. It is a unique game, not a remake of anything, so it gets a lot of novelty points from me. I feel like that while the game is very beautiful and has a cute factor even on hard boss fights, that the developers were fairly lazy in making it. "Huh.. We already have all these sound tracks made, why don't we just throw together a tap system on the 3DS and make it a full game?" However, I also think they TRIED to make a lot of different play styles and each time a song is played, different things can happen exclusive to that track. If you loved the Final Fantasy series, you will LOVE this game from start to finish. If you didn't play many of the games, it's a little weird and you don't know any of the characters or songs, no flash back of fond memories of someone dying/kissing to the song, boss fights, ect.Read full review
The music for this game is really great. It's fun to play songs over again to unlock all the little achievements like the character cards, new songs or characters for your profile. Plus there's a lot of additional add-on content that's pretty cheap if you want even more songs to play. It's not just finish the game and that's it.
It is challenging and the music is nice. It is a little tricky to get the music notes on time. It sometimes don't sense the stylus and you miss a note. I just started the game so I guess I need more practice. Overall it was nice to hear the final fantasy music from different games in the series.
