This Wii U sports game also adds a handful of legendary teams from the NBA's past along with some brand-new teams, such as a celebrity team. "NBA 2k13" for the Wii U upholds the series' tradition of spectacular gameplay. From the first game you play, you'll love the tight controls. The title reacts to your button presses instantly with no lag. You'll pull off passes and jump shots that will make even Michael Jordan jealous. While this Nintendo console title has a lot of nuances to its controls, within two or three games, you'll be an expert. You can spin around defenders, fake a shot, and even throw alley-oops to your teammates. If you've seen it in an NBA game, you can recreate it here. That level of realism extends to the presentation of the title as well. Each game is similar to a sports broadcast. A group of commentators will discuss every play of the game as it happens. They will frequently go to the sidelines for more in-depth conversations with players and coaches. For particularly dramatic moves, such as a slam dunk, the player is shown a replay. Using the unique nature of the Wii U tablet, the developers of this title included a feature that gives you the edge on the court. At any time, you can tilt the tablet to activate the Gatorade Biometric Scan. This scan displays how hot a particular athlete is on the Wii U's secondary screen on the controller. Tap on an athlete to get detailed statistics or use this screen to make quick coaching decisions.

The one and ONLY licensed basketball game for Wii U!
This game sets the standard for sports games on Wii U. Very realistic graphics, tight gameplay and a fun factor through the roof! Also, this game had a relatively small number of units produced so it is becoming rare to find a factory sealed copy these days. A good purchase for sports fans and collectors alike!

Gift for a basketball fan newly turned gamer
The game is what he asked for, it took a while for him to get the hang of controlling with the Wii U pad because he's not used to it, has only had experience using the standard remotes until now. Main feature he was interested in was the customized players that you can make, had some trouble figuring out how to get individually made player onto a team. This is something that can be solved by Google, take tips from other players or websites that offer advice because this is something users commonly get tripped up on it seems. Now that he's used to it, it's played often so I know that he likes it.

Throw it up! Great game.
I'm a LA Clippers fan and I wanted to recreate the superteam. I didn't think I would but I was able to trade Harden, George, Westbrook and Kawhi all to the team without any effort right out the box. If you can navigate your way through the menus to rosters and are game savvy your can too.
