This is a great game for all ages. My 5 year old just loves it. The graphics are great and you can pick 100's of teams from the past or present.
for the people who complain about such things as the spin move, try looking into what the other buttons on the controller do. the spin move only defends against checks, which is when you would use the poke button to knock the puck loose. this isnt the original nintendo people, there is more to a game than two buttons and a d-pad.
As aforementioned, there might be a bug here or there, but if you're looking for the best and most exciting multiplayer hockey game, this is it. Just a note, if you're going to be the Colorado Avalanche, Aebischer is terrible. Trade him, like I did.
