Back in the day on the dreamcast, I spent many nights playing with my friends. This game made sure I was tired at work the next day. I decided to buy this game again while I was playing For Honor and was listening to game music on youtube. Usual final fantasy bosses or battles stuff and then I remembered another track I loved. 2nd boss De Ro Lei from PSO. I loved it. So nostalgic. The game came in perfect condition. This "Plus" version is the go to if you want couch coop with all the expansion features that some other consoles are missing. Due to the age of the game it does lag on 4p split screen and that dragon boss(just like before) messes with the camera too much. Aiming is tedious as well but you get used to it. The product is working as intended and I hear there are ways to get online on private servers if you do some homework. Read full review

The camera angles were easily rectified by pulling the L trigger. As far as gameplay goes it's not a complete button mesher, you have to hit the buttons in rhythm...however there are only two melee attacks, light and heavy. The spell system is fun but has limited spells. The game defined addiction and lead to games like Diablo 2 and others of it's class but lacked some essiential components to be a great game. Short, only 2 episodes on this one but there are 5 different skill levels and 100s of items to customize your character with. The online realm has seemingly died which takes away a lot from the game, but if you have 2-3 friends to play with you can obtain hours of countless fun. Overall don't pickup if you don't have friends to play it with.
Game is a great blast from The past, semi decent story and for the time it was released it had a good character design system.

This version of Phantasy Star Online: Episodes 1 and 2, packs in a ton of quests and items that were previously only available by playing the game online with a monthly subscription. You can import characters from the standard version of this Gamecube classic to use in this game. It features some of the best split screen co-op play that you'll ever find, allowing up to 4 players to join forces to eliminate hordes of monsters to complete quests, find rare loot, and kill bosses on an epic scale. You can't go wrong with this game as it has practically unlimited replayability and it's great fun if you have friends to play with. Overall the game gives you the feeling of an MMORPG that you play solo. The level cap in this game is HUGE, maxing out at 200. Reaching this cap however, will take some serious time and doing so is only recommended for the truly hardcore. Once you pick this game up and start getting into the various things it offers whether that's questing, grinding for rare items, or raising your MAG just the right way to get a certain bonus for your character, you won't run out of things to do. This game works on the Wii, so hopefully a whole new generation of gamers can get their hands on this. If you can find a copy for a good price without scratches, then I highly recommend picking this title up, you won't regret it.Read full review
PSO Is one of the greatest Gamecube or XBox titles you can get, it has great gameplay, and a very wide selection for customization of you charracter. Almost every character can use almost every weapon, with a few exceptions. Forces (spellcasters) cannot use Swords, Partisans, Daggers, Shotguns, or Rifles, but are the only ones who can use Canes, Rods, and Wands. Hunters (close combat) are the only class who can use Daggers, Swords, Claws or Fist weapons. Rangers (snipers) are the only class who can use Rifles, or Shotguns. I personally like Forces because what they lack in physical prowess the more than make up for in the incredible range and power most Techs (spells) are able to achieve. If you do go with a Force, go with a Foneweral (Female Newman Force) the advantages of this are high MST (mental strengeth=spell power)and they have piercing Megid (a tech that instantly kills when it hits). If you are playing this game for the first time, I would recommend using either a Racast (Male andriod ranger) because of their defense and attack capabilities, or use a Hucaseal (Female android hunter) because of their excelent evasion, defense and attack. Over all, PSO is an excellent multiplayer RPG (yes, and RPG that can have upto 4 players simultaneously, though it may crash a gamecube). BUY THIS GAME IF YOU WNAT TO HAVE ONE OF THE BEST GAMES EVER!!!!!!! BTW: This package is great becuase normally PSO would be like $40 for just Ep. 1 and 2 plus. PEACE OUT!Read full review
