Game is awesome, plays without issue. I wasn’t expecting any cover art but the one they used as a replacement is great, as long as I know what I’m getting when I grab it off my shelf then it’s all good. Eight star review!

Resident Evil 3 for the Gamecube involves Jill Valentine(RE:1) fighting her way through the hellish streets of Raccoon City. The time frame of the events in the game overlap the events of RE:2, so Jill will visit some areas that were in the previous title, for example the R.C.P.D. building. Like the past titles you have limited inventory space, item boxes, typewriters to save your progress, items for puzzle solving, etc. Some new features are gun powders you collect & mix to make either handgun bullets, shotgun bullets, and various grenade rounds. Certain times during the game you will be given a choice to make in dangerous situations which slightly alter your game progress to give you a different ending. Oh, of course during the game your encounter one of Umbrella Corp's pet projects called Nemesis. He's basically a Tyrant with a brain and an RPD. If you're not familiar with a Tyrant then you might want to play the 1st two RE's. Anyway, the Nemesis pursues you throughout the entire game, usually at the worst times. So that adds quite a bit of action during the game. RE:3 is an interesting & fun game, though in my opinion it was too short and not as good as RE:1 & 2. I feel it should get the remake treatment along with RE:2 & Code Veronica.Read full review
I've got awesome memories of this game. The last time I played it was a few years ago and those memories are filled with fun, fear (the good kind), excitement, and happiness. That's why I just HAD to buy this game again. For the real Resident Evil fans (like yours truly) this game is an excellent addition to the collection and it is a great choice for those just joining the circle as well. This is the second Resident Evil game I ever played and let me tell you, it DID NOT disappoint (not that a Resident Evil game ever would but I just heard things like the graphics not being too good, or it not living up to the standards of a 2003 game) but whatever, I love this game along with the entire series and I recommend buying this game if you want to get spooked at 3 a.m. and have a BLAST solving mysteries, killing zombies, monsters, etc. It's got puzzles, a very engaging story line, awesome (and easy on the eyes) characters, crazy, scary chases, and many times where you'll be opted to make a real life choice in the game that will affect the outcome of the story at one point. And many, many other fun features that make this game so awesome.Read full review
For an older game it's good. The graphics were shotty, but again, it's an older game. I think they spent way too much time trying to decorate the walls and alleys when they should have focused on more important things. I will say that I thought I was finished and then "pow" another area to explore so that was a nice surprise. I liked that I could choose my options on certain areas and will go back through to change my game play by choosing the other options. I was told that would make it into an entirely diff gameplay. I would recommend this game to anyone who wants the background of resident evil and who just enjoys knocking out zombies as I do. Unless you are a hardcore resident evil junkie, you're not going to appreciate this game.
So when Capcom re-released Resident Evil on the GameCube, they juiced it up 110%. Player's got new graphics, a little twist to the story and some extras that weren't present in the original. So naturally when Resident Evil 2 and 3 were released, it would seem that they would do the same formula that found them success with the re-release of the first...right? Well, wrong, they chose to just duplicate the exact same games onto a GameCube disc. This game has the same exact graphics as the PS1 game and it has the exact same play. Everything is just identical as it once was. The major problem is that Jill (your character) moves very robot like and the entire animation of everything is choppy, at best. It's a short game that doesn't exactly have many shining moments. The only true fun was in being chased by the monster all over the city. Otherwise, it's a short game, full of standard to easy puzzles and some pretty lame zombies. If you're looking into this thinking they remade it as they did to the first game, you'll be disappointed. Unless for some reason you are a true diehard fan of the series, I'd skip this one and stick to Zero, the original and 4.Read full review
