Released by Activision in 2014, this detailed Skylanders Blastermind collectible is a great addition to any collection. It depicts Trap Team's Blastermind floating above a sturdy base, making the piece easy to display. Blastermind's head is topped with his signature Traptanium Psionic Helmet adorned with mystical Psionic Power Crystals, which Blastermind uses to fight evil. A dual-sided bubble case houses the small monster. This makes it easy to see the painted details and designs from any angle on the packaging.The Skylanders Blastermind character is one of the Magic element characters. Other Magic element toys released as part of the Skylanders Trap Team include Enigma, Mini Jini, and Spry. The magic element is represented by the purple case in which Blastermind is included. He is a Skylanders trap master, meaning that he can easily trap villains and objects in the trap base so that players have access to their powers. In the game, the Blastermind pack comes with special powers. There is a limited number of powers that are first available to the Skylanders toy. By playing and building up the character's stats, you have the chance to access new powers. The powers and abilities are saved in the connection base. This will make your Blastermind accessories unique to other versions of the same type.In addition to his headgear, this Skylanders toy features the character's purple robe along with his gold and red suit. When placed on the Trap Team portal, he instantly comes to life on screen. He wears the same outfit as depicted in the Skylanders character design. The crystals on Blastermind's head will actually illuminate and glow when his powers are activated on screen. The Trap Team set is the fourth series of Skylanders games to be released. Because of updated graphics and game content, he will only work with the Trap Team game and portal.Not only can this Trap Team Trap Master toy be used in the game, but it makes a great display piece. The Activision creation is highly detailed and sturdy enough to stand on its own. It can be displayed on a shelf or in a special case that is used to hold Skylanders toys. You can even build a custom base or place other figures around it to create a compelling display. If you keep the figure in its case, then you have the option of hanging the figure on a hook or standing it up on its own.Activision released the Skylanders Blastermind in a pack that included accessories, such as one trading card and a sticker featuring a special QR code, which gives you access to exclusive content. This Trap Team toy can be used in the game through the Skylanders Traptanium Portal, which is included in the Trap Team Starter Pack. Due to small parts and choking hazards, the product is recommended for children aged 6 or older.
