Cool episode of the Final Fantasy series (and one of my favorites) that brings back nice memories. The graphics are decent, quite not what we see today in terms of definition but it was good for the time (1999). The battle system (consisting in drawing magic from the enemies, getting GFs and building up their abilities) may not be the best of FF and can be a little boring sometimes but the overall story is cool and game is fun to play. Also, the card game Triple Triad is the best mini game I've seen so far in a video game. A few gems from game composer Nobuo Uematsu. I would put FFVIII in third position after VII and III, and equal or maybe a little ahead of FFIX (except for the graphics and animation sequences that are far better in the latter).

Really good final fantasy throw back. Graphics are good for a ps1 game with classic final fantasy game play. With tons of extra side quests including a a card game! You get a lot of hours out of this game if you want to.
