Raziel continues on his quest for revenge against his former master and maker Kain in Soul Reaver 2. After Kain safely eludes Raziel by escaping through the time streaming device in Moebius's chronoplast chamber Raziel hesitantly follows through the time portal in his continued pursuit of Kain. As he passes through the portal he is greeted by one of Kain's former victims, Moebius the time streamer. Long thought to be dead at the hands of Kain, how is it possible that he stands in Raziel's presence now? What awaits Raziel is a story more profound than the original Soul Reaver. Raziel will travel through different time periods, past, present and future to find the answers he so desperately seeks. You will find elemental enhancements throughout Soul Reaver 2 that will allow you to gain access to inaccessible areas. Such as the Dark Reaver and Air Reaver. Throughout the adventure Raziel will meet up with vampires from Nosgoth's past who will further explain their legacy and Raziel's role in the vampires prophecy. Though not as good as it's predecessor, Soul Reaver 2 did have it's highlights. The environments are gorgeous and the soundtrack is dark and suspenseful. The story that unfolds is also intriguing adding even more depth to the series. Overall I give it an good rating. This game plays along great but at the end it leaves you wanting even more.Read full review
I loved this game when it first came out and playing it again as an adult really brought me back. Defiance is next.
