Too start let me tell you how well I know this game; I have logged over 10,000 hours playing this game. I have been playing it since day 1 of its release. It is a third person rpg. I know my rpg's I have been playing them since the early 70's Started wuth D&D before the manuals were even finished. The main deal a a true rpg is time! Yes, time. Let me explain. The entire idea behind us developing D&D was to be able to build a character over time, reusing it over and over again. This is what can be done with Summoner. Take as long as you like to develop your character's abilities and skills. Now for some game secrets that know one know's or very few know about this game. Do you ever get annoyed by the fact you do do not have full control over the camera, in most game you do not! Here's how in Summoner: Build up Joseph's fire to a 7 for wall of fire. Then when you get in a area where the camera locks in a downward vertical view. Cast wall of fire watching the red line., now back out and do not finish casting the spell and it unlocks the camera. Repeat this as needed. It is so much better playing when you can see 360 around you, plus the views are awsome!! Here is another one for you ther are many items in Summoner to be picked-up so lock in every spot in the game. I still have not found everything yet!!; that is coming from someone who has over 10,000 hours playing this game. There are also premium items to be found in the desert in Orenia. Take your time and look every where. This game can be played for as long as you want to tkae. Also, you can get items from bosses with out have to clear them at the time; just back out of the fight. Have FUN!!Read full review
I tried a bit of this, but no more than a few hours. So far it's pretty good and once I'm done beating some other games, I'll get back to it. I bought it simply because the description for it on other gaming sites made it sound like a unique kind of game: a PC game on the PS2. That it is. You definitely get that PC feel from it. The fighting is action-based with a turn-based flair. the graphics are decent for an early PS2 game, nothing to write home about, but nothing that will turn you off to it, either. The story so far seems interesting. It looks like things will get pretty complicated later on, but so far the story and gameplay are pretty simple. Can't wait to start using magic, that promises to be interesting. And eventually, your party will grow. I'm interested in seeing how that controls.Read full review

The graphics are okay for a PlayStation 2 game, I have played it before and enjoyed the game a lot. One of my favorite ps2 games that I still enjoy. If you had played the first Summoner you realize that Summoner 2 is a great improvement of the first game gameplay etc wise, like combat is a little bit faster, the loading is very fast in my opinion and the story continues from the first game just in a different country with different characters, but there are some appearances of characters from the first one just gotta keep a close eye out lol anyways not going to spoil the whole game you'll just have to figure out your self lol.
