Super fun game, you race the GPU randomly and win money to boost your car then go back to the streets of Tokyo and Race again. I had this game back in 2004 but sold it along with a few other games to GameStop in 2005 to buy my new born Twin babies some Diapers and Formula when I was low on cash. I felt so bad to get rid of my games that I liked a lot but my kids came first, finally in April 2017 I was able to start buying all my favorite games back for my ps2, and N64, some for a fraction of the original price and others for the same price as new or Ludicrous price lol! Anyways the only thing I kept with me since the ps2 came out was the my memory card with all my saved game titles. Now I can get back on my 2002 Nissan Skyline GT-R in the game and go crazy!

The disc is a bit scratched, but it still works great so far. It also if would've been nice if I got the game in its actual case instead of a generic case.

Tokyo Extreme Racer: Zero is an excellent street racing game. It feels more like an arcade racer, especially if you hook up a racing wheel and sit a few feet from your television screen. The game is different from most of the other tuner racing games out there in that you drive your car around a loop of highways in Tokyo. As you drive around, you come up on other tuner cars. To challenge another racer, you must flash your headlights at them, where then a count-down timer shows up and the race begins. Then, as you race, there are two bars on the top of the screen, indicating both your's and your opponent's 'health'. It makes it seem like a fighting game, which helps separate itself from the rest of trash out there. The game starts out kinda slow, but as you make your way through harder racers and win more money, you can start to really upgrade your car. The game offers an incredible selection of vehicles in 3 different classes, ranging from low-end family sedan, up to high-powered japanese muscle cars. The graphics in the game aren't amazing, but they do a good job. If you like games such as Need for Speed: Underground, but just want straight-up street racing, then this game is for you.Read full review
I love this game. Throws me right back to my teen years. A JDM RPG is how I would describe it.

This game is easily overlooked as one of the best ps2 racing games of its generation rolling start races and very customizable i got this game when it first came out never regretted buying it was one of my favorites if your into real jdm style racing games this is for you not as overrated as nfs underground 1&2 thats what makes this game so special it was way before its time and ovwrlooked as a not so good game and got bad ratings by game reviews but its definitely a true ps2 classic and must have games for any collector and real import racing fan
