I bought Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble to complete my Donkey Kong Country Player's Choice Edition Set. I now have the complete trilogy for BOTH Game Boy Advance and Super Nintendo! Interestingly, about twelve years ago, I rented this game as well as Super Mario World (which I already owned), while I was on a two-week trip to visit my Grandfather who was dying of cancer. (My mom wanted me to have a couple of games to play to keep me happy.) I only had the games for about three days, so I hardly made any progress, but I remembered the music almost note for note, because at the time, it was very comforting. Also, Dixie and Kiddy Kong were so cute, and I had so much fun, that it helped me cope with the loss. This was my introduction to the world of Donkey Kong Country, and I remembered it: from July 1997 to July 2009..... talk about "Deja Vu". As a Christian, I feel I must give God the credit when I am provided with oppurtunities to revisit fond memories from my past. I may have been a little sad when I had to return Donkey Kong Country 3 to the rental store, but I'm so happy that I made this special purchase on ebay. I can now sit back, and play this game clear to the end, and enjoy the wonderful characters and music of this game whenever I want to!Read full review

DKC3 remains to be consistent not only in graphics or gameplay, but also storytelling. The price was right for this game on the snes . No buyer's regret here!!

Tough game. Lots of extra hidden garbage. Can't remember everything from when I was younger but game is still very compelling. *!SPOILERS AHEAD!* The story is excellent as well; I nearly cried after barrel drop bounce level when Dixie died after being stung by a bee (too bad epi-pens were not around yet). The remaining kong had to finish without her... You could really resonate with the emotions he must have been processing.
