awesome classic that I have missed over the years, so I just had to buy it again, and got it at a super great price..nba jam t.e. was better (i.m.o.) than the original due to all the extra bonus features that steps the game up in such a great way. I highly recommend anybody who loves basketball games or has gotten older and played this game in there younger day's, to buy this game. the fun never stops be it against the c.p.u. or against a friend !!!!

I used to go to the arcade everyday to play this game. I would pump quarter after quarter into the arcade machine just to play the 2nd half! Granted this was back when games were just a quarter to play, and Mortal Kombat 2 was in the cabinet right next to the NBA Jam machine, I just couldn't get enough of it. Famous lines such as "He's warming up" & "He's on fire!" will stick in your head throughout the rest of your gaming lives. I have never had so much fun playing basketball, whether it was against the computer or a real person. I practiced this game for a competition that Blockbuster had during the mid-90s, and I practically mastered it. This is a very fun game, and if you are looking for an inexpensive sports game for an older system, this is probably the best one you can pick up. Prior to this series, there was Double Dribble, but this series blew that one off the face of the gaming map! You might even be able to pick up this title for less than $1 on eBay, so do yourself a favor and try it out if you never have. The main difference between this game and its predecessor is the ability to create and save a play record! There are also minor tweaks that the game developers incorporated, but it is essentially just the same game. If you want a good laugh, choose the Rookies and when you start your game, see how the announcer introduces your team :D This alone is worth picking up the game!Read full review

NBA Jam is a true gaming classic for everyone. Its two-on-two style of gameplay featuring MVPs of that time is awesome with features like being on fire, power-ups, and icons. This game combines traditional basketball: with some of the silly penalties (like fouls) removed, and a dunk contest with every player capable of creative and stylish jams... NBA Jam allows for not only one, but up to four players if able. This game provides a broad spectrum of gameplay and hours of entertainment, I encourage anyone who has the proper gaming platform to buy this game and roll on the floor laughing at the dunks, oh did I mention cool character and cheat codes too!
Bring back all memories when i was a kid and play this game, love the "boom shakalaka" and "is on fire!!" Sounds, after +20 years still working thats one of the most things i like about cartridge games
