Dynamite Cop is a 1-2 player, 3D beat-em-up in the tradition of Final Fight and Streets Of Rage. You choose from one of three characters (plus a couple of secret ones) and pummel your way through room after room of thugs. The graphics and sound are decent, and retain the same feel as Diehard Arcade. The action is quite frantic compared to other games in the same genre, and it is a bit on the short side (it only takes about 15-20 minutes to beat), but Dynamite Cop does offer a few new fun elements. The ability to use almost anything as a weapon is one of the main draws of the game. Pistols, grenades, rocket launchers, tables, chairs, and even food can be utilized to dispose of opponents. Torturing the enemies with grapples and throws is also an extremely fun feature. It could have been longer and more in depth, but if you are looking for a 2 player brawler and some cheap thrills, Dynamite Cop is a decent pick. Especially if you consider that there aren't many quality games of this type around anymore.Read full review
Picked up this game because I have fond memories of the arcades growing up. This game is short and can be beaten within an hour but it's an arcade game so that should be somewhat expected. Essentially it's a 3D brawler which has you beating up groups of bad guys as you run from area to area in an attempt to rescue the president's daughter. It's goofy in its own way but a lot of fun. Every area you enter into has a variety of things that can be used as weapons like throwing chairs or boxes and picking up guns and even rocket launchers. I'd recommend picking it up at a decent price, $15-$20 is a good figure. Anything more than that would be asking too much. If you're on the fence about it just check out a Youtube video of it.

I liked the arcade version of Die Hard. Dynamite Cop I believe is supposed to be the sequel to Die Hard Arcade, but at the time of its release Sega had lost the Die Hard license, so instead we have Dynamite Cop. I had never played Dynamite Cop prior to buying it. TBH, this game kind of blows. The game is extremely short. The controls are very loose, meaning you feel pretty disconnected from the beat em up action on screen. For Dreamcast standards, the graphics do not measure up. I felt like I was playing an N64 game. Though, this game isn't a complete steaming pile of junk. For the right price, it's not a bad game. I got it for under 10 bucks, which included shipping. I think that was a fair price for this game and what it offers. It has a cheesey, it's so ridiculous it's kind of cool, storyline (pirates take over a cruise ship and it's your job to rescue the president's daughter who is hiding in a suitcase). It has 2 player co-op, and considering the short length of the game, it can be a fun experience with a friend that won't take all afternoon to beat. There's unlockable artwork based off of items you find in the game, so it has some low/moderate replay value. All in all, it's not the worst game I ever played, but it's pretty disposable. If you're looking for a better Dreamcast beat'em up, I'd recommend Zombie Revenge (which isn't perfect either, but in comparison, it's better than Dynamite cop). I'm sure I'll play Dynamite Cop from time to time, but when I do, it won't be for more than 30 minutes at a time. Dynamite Cop-Definitely not the Dreamcast at its finest, but may be worth a shot if you can get it on the cheap. Have a good one!!!Read full review
This game has a whole lot of weapons, moves, and can even be played by 2 players. The game is short, meaning you'll beat it in less than an hour, but it is an arcade type of game, so that's not an issue. Plus it's pretty cheap on ebay; I bought it myself for about 12 dollars. Unlike a lot of beat 'em up games, Dynamite Cop doesn't get repetitive because the action is fast paced, and you got lots of weapons such as guns, pipes and even French bread (that sure is hard bread all right). Anything that you can grab onto is a weapon; I like how it makes you more resourceful. One of my favorite moves though is that piledriver. Doing that just felt priceless to someone in this game. Another fun move to do is grab the legs of an enemy while he is down and keep slamming him repeatedly.
