Lobotomy was responsible for the excellent Saturn conversions of Duke Nukem 3D and Quake. Both games were completely rebuilt in their proprietary SlaveDriver Engine from this game. Powerslave runs fantastic and has excellent visuals with amazing level design. The game also has some basic Meteoidlike elements. Powerslave is a overlooked gem for the Saturn!

Quite an awesome FPS from the 32 bit era. This game was on the Sega Saturn as well as the PS1, but actually looked and played a lot better on the Saturn. The game has very vivid colors, impressive textures and nicely done light sourcing (such as from the blue fire balls thrown at you by enemies). The game keeps interesting by having you explore a variety of areas including some underwater levels (water effects are also better on the Saturn version than PS1) and gives you a variety of weapons. Probably the coolest feature are the artifacts that give you special abilities, such as jumping further or holding your breath longer while underwater. It's too bad this game was not more popular back in the day, its certainly a great deal of fun even today!
Such an amazing game for its time

ok, if you like any fps you will love this one. The controls are perfect. Gameplay is amazing too. Its sad that not so many people have played this version. If you can find a copy that's not a crazy price(this is a rare game) than pick it up.
This game is awesome. One of the best FPS games on the Saturn, and one of the best of its era. If you are looking to pickup a quality, solid, first person shooter for the Sega Saturn then I would highly recommend PowerSlave.
