Awesome album of a band & it's master who continues to keep the holy grail of heavy metal alive! That would be the guitar solo that the grunge world (& some lame, submissive bands that thought the would die out if they didn't conform}tried to stomp out! Zakk is & always will be, a guitar GOD that I don't believe will ever let anyone tell him to cut back on the solos,(he loves to hear himself too much to allow that)!! If you like good old fasion heavy metal, then BLS is waiting for you!!! They are one of the best ole sckool metal bands i've heard in a LONG LONG TIME!!! CHECK THEM OUT!!!
I love BLS, so to me all their cds are great. But this cd in paticular really does have alot more metal in it. It's definatly a keeper!! I would expect either a newbie, or die hard BLS fan to love this cd. It is probably my second favorite cd from BLS, with my first being 1919 Eternal. It's definatly worth every penny, rust is one of my favorite songs on this cd. I'm very happy with this purchase, and I know you will be too.
When i played this disc, i was struck with great joy to hear a living guitar god spread some scripture of heavy metal. Zakk touches the dark side of life in the subjects of this album. the guitar work just shreds. i had to read the lyrics to really get the vocals because i was caught up in the guitar's thundering melodies and blistering solos.
What can I say? What needs to be said? If anyone thinks this man is a one trick pony, look to his working filling in with The Allman Brothers. He is the amazing king of the pentatonic scale. His technique is essential studying for any guitarist. A worthy heir to the Randy Rhoads throne. Getcha Pull (for Dime)!
One of Zakk's better disks....you will not be dissapointed. I must highly recomend this disk to any true metal/biker style music affectionado. Superterrorizer and Stronger than death will be destined to be true rock legendary songs ! The whole disk is worthy......Ozzy said so himself.
