Horror Show is a pretty good album, but nowhere near as strong as Dark Saga which is certainly IE's best work to date. Dark Saga is their Powerslave. If you are new to Iced Earth, buy Dark Saga to get a sense of what the band can do at their best. Horror Show is a themed album where the songs focus on famous horror monsters like the werewolf, dracula, jack the ripper, etc. The best songs are IE's take on The Omen and Coppola's interpretation of Dracula and they are good homages to those movies. If you like Horror Metal, you will probably enjoy the album. The 2CD set includes a long interview and IE's take on Iron Maiden's Transylvania which is quite good. Between the 2CDs, I found three songs which went on my iPod so I'm happy.
I'm just getting into Iced Earth. It's pretty good. They've had a few different singers through the years. Each one has a different flavor. They're pretty good.

This album is the one pf the best Iced Earth studio album. I like this, and IE is one of my favourit bands. The Horror Show is containing excellent music with the famous metal singer, Matt Barlow. I like his voice!!!
