WIth some new blood (Oliver Palotai, keyboards, joined in 2006) Kamelot decided to take a new direction. Songs became slower and more symphonic, lyrics became more serious. After The Black Halo (2005) Ghost Opera sounds bland and less epic but to be honest most albums do. Power metal fans may not like because it isn't as fast as band's previous works. Favourites: Ghost Opera, The Human Stain, Mourning Star

If you're into symphonic metal these guys are great!! Intricate keyboard arrangements, crunching guitar, and a melodic powerful voice out front makes for fantastic listening.

This 2/disc set is worth the purchase for the DVD alone! Solid progressive rock:metal band who’ve been one of the leaders in the genre. Recommend this one highly.
