Well, first off this record is really for the general heavy rock/stoner fan so if your poison happens to be cannibal corpse for instance then you should prob look else where for a new record. From the first time i heard this album i thought it was good it has a real blusey edge but without losing the meat and spuds that make up a cool heavy metal album, heavy riff, soulfull man-vocal and well placed drum beats. Again though if you as a listener prefer real heavy bands such as deicide, bolt thrower then stear clear but thats not to say that the q.o.t.s.a. fan would like it cause they prob wouldnt. It comes off as a party album if the theme runs between smokey bar atmos and biker chicks i would say, also another point thats worth mentioning is the instrumental parts of the album which is all keenan i think (pepper keenan, guitarist, singer) they are real experimental and by that i dont mean wierd time signatures like tool for instance but with keeping in your classic rock vibe. On the whole this is an excellent album but dont expect something to jump out and slap ya cause it anit there, what is there though is the perfect soundtrack to gettin beered up and pullin that sweet blonde in the corner. And if you like it i would recomend Wise blood which is a newer c.o.c album or a bustle in your hedgerow which has keenan on guitar with other lads including phil anselmo of pantera on vocals, but dont be put off by that because he goes for a much more sweet sociable vocal than he previous efforts. dont take my word for it check out its single first by the name of clean my wounds and make up your own mind. cheers GRead full review
