With Supersexy Swingin' Sounds it's a collection of ten remixes of songs from Astro-Creep: 2000, plus a new mix of their cover of KC & the Sunshine Band's "I'm Your Boogie Man" Not quite as experimental or dance-oriented as they would like to be, White Zombie have always flirted with industrial and disco, but at their core they are a metal band. With this album it's a love or hate feeling with it i like it as some tracks are really creative how they did it but on the other side you look at it and say i perfer the orginal they did there was no need for a remix, i would say buy the album for your white zombie collection but dont waste too much money on it.
Whilst I agree that this is not White Zombie's greatest album, it is completely different to either of the others. Whilst I love the metal, I mostly listen to hip hop and blues so this one appealed to me particularly since it is basically techno. I'm not so sure that the metal heads out there who love Zombie would truly appreciate this album since it was such a departure for them. It must also be said that it is comprised of remixes, so if you are not a remix fan then it probably isnt for you. That being said, if you have a decent stereo in your house or especially your car, you need to buy this album. The bass hits HARD and it is a classic - especially for me since I grew up listening to this stuff. White Zombie were an amazing band, I saw then twice and I have never seen anything like it since.Read full review
Astro-Creep 2000 was the greatest Album ever made and gave Rob Zombie grate fame. This album came out a year or two later was the remake of that one, more like a remix of the tracks but if you havn't listened to the first one you should buy that one first. If you have already listened to Astro-Creep 2000 and really liked Rob then I think you should try purchasing his earlier work as well, not maste your money on remixes of songs you came to love just the way they were. But in the last case that you are a die-hard fan of Rob and allready listened to most of his other albums then i guess some stupid review from some random guy on the internet shouldn't stop you from buying the last piece of the discography. In other words its a must-have for fans of Rob.
