Excellent tool that we used to re-cover some dining chairs. We employed 8mm staples to hold the material by penetrating into 9mm plywood. When using it be careful not to get caught between the actuation lever and the body. The device works well until towards the end of each batch of staples when it jams. It's easy to remove the jammed staples with a small screwdriver blade. We had the same problem with a much more expensive device.

seems to work " type of " prob is the staples are crap, used it to do a M/c saddle, all the staples bent on the plastic, & the plastic is thin,....better to have bought one in " Wilko,s" at least if it did,nt perform you could take it back, there & then,..all in all ..waste of cash, but thats E-bay all around...oakey-doakey..

The product seemed to be good quality, however it got jammed almost immediately after I’ve tried to use it. Tried to fix it but no good out of that. Injured my finger and still couldn’t fix it because the parts would not stay in place. There was no instructions provided so had to use a YouTube video which was really hard to find how to clear the jammed staples from this model. After all that effort the bottom bit where the staples go doesn’t stay in place. Waste of money and time.

Bought this in the hopes of using it to help with carpet laying- had I bought longer nails and staples it would have worked great, as it goes we had to hammer in the tops just a little, but it's certainly up to the job. I have no doubts at all that I'll use this for all manner of other projects, have already used it to add trellis to a fence and will use it for upholstery jobs and probably picture hanging too! Definitely more heavy duty than a standard staple gun, takes a bit of welly to get the trigger down but it's immensely satisfying to use and I would recommend it to anyone to have around the house, it's a very handy little thing indeed!

We bought this item in order to re-upholster the seats of some dining chairs, but I think this stapler is not at all suited for this kind of work. The staples wouldn't penetrate the chipboard base of the seat properly no matter how carefully we operated the device. Many of the staples supplied were wasted, and there weren't very many of those. But if you were to purchase this item for this kind of job, I would recommend that you have a hammer handy to tap the staples home. The stapler would be ideal for stapling paper, e.g. posters on a notice board, but for anything involving fabric materials and furniture, I wouldn't bother.
