I seem to recall reviewing this genuine GM 5W 30 oil before, but I don't mind doing it again. My son has a 2010 Vauxhall Insignia CDTi and has a 90 mile round trip to work so his mileage is high so I service it myself every 6 months also . It's now done over 170K and still runs like a Swiss watch. I have no doubt this is testimony to using genuine GM oil and filter as well as the build quality of the car. I also use the same oil in my 2008 Vectra petrol with nearly 100K on it and that runs just as sweet if not better. I have no hesitation is recommending this oil not only for its's quality but it's also great value for money. In my opinion it's not worth using cheaper oil.

It is really good oil and I have used it on my Vauxhall cars for many years. Since leaving the EU it's become far too expensive and there are alternatives just as good for much less.

Used this for my Saab 9-5 almost exclusively for the last 5 years. Only time I strayed from it was when I got a good deal on another good name brand that was supposedly to spec, but within a month the car developed a noticeable rattle from the tappets. Switched back to the GM/Saab oil and within a few days the rattle disappeared. I vowed never to use anything other than the genuine stuff after that, and to be honest given the fact that it’s so reasonably priced it’s a bit of a no brainer to me!
