This is a well built mount. It secures my dual band uhf/vhf antenna at highway speeds (80 mph) with no problem. This is my second mount. I got it because I was tired of swapping antenna/mount between vehicles. i also like the fact that it has a rubber boot that keeps it from damaging my vehicles’ finishes.

With the large 5 inch magnet I don't have to worry about the antenna coming off when I use a large/long antenna. I was worried at first that it might be too big but, I have a fellow ham who's 2 inch or so magnet has come off several times so, I'm happy with the 5 inch. I just finished a 1600 mile trip with no problems.

I bought this to mount my laird GMRS antenna to my truck roof. Very well made and extremely strong magnet, no way any storm is going to blow this thing off. Tram is a very respected name in antennas and mounting hardware and this mount does not disappoint. Be sure to get the rain cap (extra) to cover it when the antenna is removed.

Strong magnet with large diameter maintains stability on the roof. Workmanship is very good. I paired with a Comet vhf/uhf mobile antenna and obtained very low SWR readings (low means good). Happy with product would recommend.

I am a ham radio operator using the mount on a 54 inch 2M / 70cm whip antenna. It stick so well that I have to pull it hard (slide it hard) over the flat surface to the edge of the roof or fender to remove it. I can not tip it over or lift it up to remove it. The nice rubber base keeps it from scratching the paint.
