Very happy with this little guy...the size of this little unit made it very easy for a nice clean install. With my Galaxy 979 at 4 watts I'm getting about 85 watts on AM and 135 on SSB. I am told signal and modulation are very clean. The price was right too...might have to grab one for the wife's car. BUT!...if yer gonna be jackin yer jaw for any amount of time you'll need to put a fan on it, got real hot, real fast...didn't hurt it but that cost one star for the rating...still a great little unit.

I'm using a 30A power supply, The amp is putting out 120W on SSB 100 W on am. It also has a yellow light, not sure what that is, but it's still worth the price.

Nice little amp. Fragile! Do not over drive it! this is a LOW DRIVE amp. The specs say you can put 10 watts AM into it...DO NOT! Keep your dead key to about 3 watts. On SSB, try not too go over 12 watts. If you do that and keep the heatsink in open air where it can dissipate heat, it should last you a good long tiime.

I’ve been using these little amps for about 10 or 12 years. They are phenomenal. Great modulation, good power, fantastic longevity. And they take a beating. Just have to keep your dead key under1.5 w, and swing under 10 to 15 w. And this seller is great too. Buy here.

Will be using this amp with a new stock radio and it will be a good combo, the amp is small and will only draw 8 to 10 amps, the radio only draws 2, so they can be powered by a 15 amp supply. Getting back into CB after 25 years since I retired, was a trucker for over 35 years and want to communicate again.
