The Tubolito tubes work fine and I appreciate the light weight, but the patches have been a challenge. I had a puncture on the rear tube (brand new Conti tire, 35 miles on it) and patched the tube with the Tubolito patch on the roadside. Held for about 25 miles, then started leaking. Was able to compress the patch some more on the roadside to get it to hold air, then got another 10 miles before it leaked again, and switched to a traditional tube that I carry as a spare. Later removed the first patch entirely, cleaned the area with alcohol wipe as directed (very clean), let dry completely, put on another Tubolito patch with great care to compress evenly and for more than the stated 5 minutes. This patch held for multiple rides and then started leaking on one edge. I will try again, but if these tubes cannot be reliably patched, then they are a very expensive one-use item.Read full review
