This stirrer seems a little pricey until you find how easy testing becomes with it. i believe I get more accurate results as you achieve complete mixing without losing any sample from manual swirling. Using the stirrer actually speeds up the testing process as well. I should have bought one years ago

I'm a certified pool operator, although I have no problems using the test kit - this Stirrer makes testing easier, more accurate and fun (especially for staff with less pool testing experience then myself). Lots of chain pool stores in my area utilize this setup everyday to test homeowners pool samples... so why not just get one for yourself and save a trip to the store? The built in light comes in handy for testing the pool at night.

Using this mixer for over a month now. Works great. It works so well if you-get a little water between the tube and mixer it will spin the tube also. Don’t worry it’s waterproof. At night you can use the built in light feature. Lights up the test water....so cool. A must tool to have. Worth the money.

Sure, you can test without it but the speed stir makes testing faster, easier, and more accurate. You can simply concentrate on counting drops and watching color change without also trying to maintain a swirling action. Worth every penny!
