    Well written good plot

Finding that the earth is gone, and with a fellow astronaut about to die. The mission commander has no time to to ponder the decision. Is this alien real,is the information he has given me real? He says a pilot will die in 2 minutes if he does not send our minds with current information back to our bodies from 5 years ago, with the possibility of saving the earth and changing the future of mankind. So back they go with no more information, 5 people hoping to save the planet. Great series, JUST WANTED MORE!

  • This was a FANTASTIC tv show made by Showtime

I had watched all but one of the series' shows as they aired on Showtime, and still think this was a great idea for a great show. It was made by Showtime, but it was also clearly setup to be an on-going show. Too bad that for whichever reason you subscribe to, they pulled the plug on the series. I'm just glad that all of the shows are now available for private home viewing, however it might've been a good idea to release this show, in this standard DVD format, to include English (and Spanish) subtitles as well because I know no one that would be able to enjoy the subtitles that are available (Portugese and Japanese). perhaps English and Spanish subs are also available, but there didn't seem to be any hint one way or the other about subtitles (automatically I assumed that in the least ...

  • Save the World

A group aboard the space shuttle witness the world explode. They are low on oxygen and about to die when a alien spacecraft rescues them. They are given a choose to go back in time to try to save their planet. Commander Teggert tells the alien to do it. They wake up in the middle of the night five years before. They know each other and slowly realize they are not crazy. Each week they try to track down the source of Earth future destruction. It has a strong start and I feel they show come have lasted a couple more years easily. This is worth viewing whether you rent it or buy it.

  • Just ok

It seems that the intended audience is juvenile males. Great cast. Crude language. Unnecessary nudity. Good script after the pilot episode.

  • Excellent show.

Odyssey 5 was an excellent show, in fact it was one of two excellent shows that were playing on Showtime. Odyssey 5 and Jeremiah were the only reasons I kept my subscription to Showtime as long as I did. They really were the only thing that network had going for them, unfortunately they dropped both in order to churn out more crap programming. Odyssey 5 was a fun, interesting, and intelligent show. I hope that SciFi or another network can pick up the syndication rights and perhaps that may build up enough interest in the show to get it going again. At the very least it would be nice to have a real ending to it all.
