    accurate for cooking ovens

    Measuring temperature is quite difficult, but this does seem to be quite accurate. Tried it in a fan assisted Belling oven & it matched the reading. But it was bought for a mini oven which when tried showed the oven temperature way too high...but when I put in the chicken, the thermometer showed the correct temperature after 5 mins...and the chicken came out perfect. So, in conclusion I think this thermometer is pretty good & would recommend. Incidentally it is left on the floor of the oven for continual monitoring

    I purchased two of these, one for my daughter and the other one for myself, ours seems to work fine but the other one looks to be inaccurate, I will test both in the same oven just to make sure so at the moment the jury is out.

    No more guesswork

    180 FAN

    Bought to check my oven when I felt it was running too hot. Indeed it was so I had to replace the thermostat. This made the performance much more consistent but as the thermometer is so small and unobtrusive I leave it hanging off the front of the bottom shelf all the time. This tells me if the oven is up to the correct heat and when I have not got my settings quite right. Definitely improved my baking!

    Should have brought one of these sooner. An essential part of actuate cooking. Nice large dial and easy to read. Very pleased and definitely would recommend. Will buy another for my second oven.
