Very good horror/suspense movie
Paul (Justin Long) and Anna (Christina Ricci) are a young couple in a shaky relationship. After a fight at a restaurant where Paul was going to propose to Anna, Anna is killed in an auto accident. When she wakes up she is in a funeral home run by a mysterious Funeral Director named Eliot (Liam Neeson). Eliot has the ability to talk to lost souls who are preparing to pass over after death. From there the movie has many suspenseful scenes where Anna tries to come to grips with the fact that she is dead. The movie is very well written and the acting is above average. The movie is rated R and some some shocking images and nudity so keep that in mind. After.Life is a great Christina Ricci movie that all her fans should own!
My son told me about After.Life, as I enjoy watching Christina Ricci. He told me how great she is in this movie, checked on ebay and found it. Christina Ricci is superb in this movie, as in all movies. The plot is so unusual, shall be watching again for all the things I missed the first time. Overall, the movie is great and most entertaining. Well worth the money, am glad to own it as now can watch it any time I wish. Once is certainly not enough to comprehend the entire movie. It makes you wonder about afterlife and in between-!!!
I liked this movie because first of all, it talks about afterlife and makes you wonder how afterlife would be, would you get caught in between and how would you like it. Overall, the movie was well directed, acted with great actor/actress and there goes a little seriousness and horror feeling. This movie is not your typical horror movie but more sense worthy and a bit simple with no long winded storyline or action. It keeps you in suspense until the end of the movie which is good....Would watch it again in another year or so after it fades away and need memory lane. Watch it and it makes you think-!!
