I bought the Danelectro Cool Cat Metal ll pedal as the sustain is as good if not better than higher end pedals costing 4 to 5 times as much. It has a rock solid metal casing. I also have the Danelectro Fab overdrive. I run these along with my Ibanez Modulation / Delay pedal thru my new Roland Blues Cube Stage 60. I am considering one more pedal to complete my simple pedal collection of just 4 pedals....The 4th being an Origin Slide Rig ...if I can get one soon as it looks to be discontinued. Now back to the main subject....the CM-2 works well when adjusting the amount of sustain/distortion with the guitar volume knob. It is a touch noisy but as I use it with an 87 Stratocaster I expected to have to work around that....and play at lot in the 2nd and 4th position to eliminate the hum. A friend uses it with humbuckers with zero issues. The only negative I can find is you can't use ninety degree jacks with this pedal as they have a tendency of turning the volume up or down. Use straight jacks and you are good to go.Read full review
