This phone was a gift to my wife for her birthday. She loves the phone!!!! She especially likes the smaller size compared to her Nexus 6. The display is gorgeous and the performance is great! No problem with the "pure android" concept, but really missing quite a bit. Like a ringer you can hear and an alarm you can hear. Like what they have just need more. I think they just want to leave it up to the user what to add and not add... but I like integrated on lots of things from trusted source and not having to sort through the million Joe-Blow apps. Like some of the intuitive stuff like it figuring out I keep ignoring updates and let it go automatically-- so it asks if it should stop notifying me. No volume/vibrate/silence quick change on the drop down up top. Have to touch your vol button first... and can't do it from a lock screen. Those are just some small examples of some of the frustrations. But for what it is, what I paid, and what I need to do, it will work for the next year. I already owned the pixel, so the xl is just a larger form factor with a bigger/better screen and battery to power it. The size however is not much bigger for the amount of screen you get, and the screen is very good. The battery life is better than expected also.

I think that this phone is amazing for the price. there's very minor scratches on it to the point where you would never notice unless you were looking. the only con is that it seems to take a bit longer than expected to charge but lasts long once charged (18+hrs) I have a battery widget that told me it should last about 22 hours of charge but it actually says 5 hours. I expected some wear and tear on the battery but not to this degree. It did come packaged well and safe, and with a USB C charger. I still recommend the phone I'm happy with it overall good deal

I've always owned Apple or Samsung phones. My boyfriend has a Google phone and loves it. I wasn't sure at first how I would like it but I do! When I first got it the phone got a little hot in the back by the camera and it shut off and I couldn't get it to turn back on. I did a force restart on the device once I googled how to. The phone came right back on and I haven't had issues since. The screen of the phone was perfect which is huge for me! There are some scratches on the body of the phone but that expected with a used device. So far I love the phone and I'm glad I made the decision to get it. I love the fact it has the bigger storage capacity as well and was worth the extra money you spend for it!
