The utter manifestation of "tacticool". The copy I received was about 5 years old and as such the tritium was pretty dim, I only found it added any value in total darkness. Anything else and a watch with good lume will typically out perform it in low light within the first hour of exposure to the sun. I found the citizen diver I compared it with outperformed it up to about half an hour after a full charge, beyond that it was fairly close and after an hour or so, the Luminox was about even or slightly outperforming. The strap is comically big but comfortable with a well designed buckle. However, it will get hot as there are no vents or airflow channels. The carbon fiber enhanced casing looks like cheap plastic in person but is durable and lightweight. The sapphire crystal is....fine. There seems to be no anti-reflective coating and the watch crystal was rarely clear, often looking hazy on account of reflecting ceilings or the sky, it was a big minus for me. The crown was fine, didn't stab the back of my hand and the visibility of the red markers was great underwater, but poor otherwise. Overall its a mixed bag, the tritium is only OK (remember was 5 years old) but it was on every hand and hour marker. The grey on black numbers are harder to read in person than online - I really wish these had been white instead. The red bezel markers are ok but again white or something more vibrant would have been far better. Additionally the crystal surface is pretty much even with the bezel, I don't know why companies do this, a few millimeters recessed and it would probably never scratch. It has a durable casing, mediocre visibility, a hot but stable band with a buckle that wont catch on things, a decent size, sapphire crystal, swiss movement, rotating bezel and a carbon enhanced casing. Looks great on paper, but is odd in use. It wears like a tactical watch but lacks some pretty key features regarding function. The low light is poor and while the hands had good visibility, it was largely because of the white tritium tubes. I saw a reviewer state they used it for police academy and it did great - I also tested it swimming and it did really well, very low drag, nice and light, and far better to read underwater than above. I'd recommend this for a tacticool watch or something good for daytime use. That said, the reflective crystal is a huge con and the lack of readability design features leaves a lot to be desired. If you need one for seeing the time in total darkness, make sure its been manufactured recently.Read full review
