Original burgundy-coloured cloth with gilt titles to the front cover. 7.75 inches by 4.75 inches. 59 pages. Edges untrimmed. The book is in very pleasing condition with bright gilt titles, and some light bumping and wear to the edges (please see pictures). Internally clean and bright. Free of inscriptions save for a tiny cross to the top right corner of the title page (see picture). Binding sound and square. A very nice example of this rare book. Patrick Pearse (Pádraig Anraí Mac Piarais, 10 November 1879–3 May 1916) was a precociously-talented scholar, who had founded the New Ireland Literary Society at the age of 17, and published this extraordinary volume as its President a year later.”
