I sometimes prepare food dishes that call for "genuine Hungarian paprika", and finally decided to get the real thing. Over the years I used the bottled American types available at local grocers, which added color but little else. The Szegedi Sweet Hungarian Paprika I am now using is superior and I see why many recipes call for this type. There is a difference. I immediately noticed a somewhat richer color, and there was a pleasant scent that the common paprika did not have. In the meals I've used this product in, it added color which was expected, but also added a subtle tangy flavor that was missing in the past. A last comment: I was surprised at how quickly the paprika arrived, from a town in Hungary to Ohio, in ~ 10 days. I recommend this Sweet Hungarian Paprika.
