My strat had a chip on it's low side of the nut. I decided to replace it with this one. It fit after some sanding and such, which is to be expected. I was glad I got this one because I thought my neck was flat, but turns out it has a radiused bottom. After some sanding and final polish, it fits great and made an excellent improvement in tone. Also good how the strings fit in it. I think it is slotted for the .009 to .042 size strings. I would recommend this to any one looking for a good upgrade or replacement.

These Graphtech nuts are the best. As long as you can measure the existing nut you'll have little to no adjustment. A bit of light sanding to rough up the surfaces before glueing and (QUICK TIP) use a piece of your old strings to run through the slots just enough to open them up & round off the bottoms...You are done! Easy & worth it. No more binding, no need for ' nut sauce'.

i purchased this nut for a les paul project guitar these nuts need some extra work to make them just right when sanding to fit the nut seemed to have hard spots in it hence uneven areas had to ditch the sand paper and use a draw file for the flat sides once finished and on the guitar it sounded way better than a bone nut but not as good as brass if you like your notes to ring out with great sustain sound B++ workability C i prefer brass

The PQL-5000-00 is the best deal for tone & versatility for 1&11/16 width F----- nuts , which seems to be the size I use most of the time . I am able to fit them on either vintage or newer necks , when I buy a neck new it is usually , 1&11/16 inches , so I tend to keep 1 or 2 around , they are easy to shape , & are a time saver , the string spacing is perfect , and the tone is always good , if it is not at least I know the nut is not the problem . I use the Gi----- size nut too , they work on numerous brands of other guitars .

Great nut. For a radius fret board the bottom middle tab just needed to be sanded off. Easy peazy!! Perfect fit and great sound! Thanks!!
