If you've never used these type of locking tuners, the directions make the use of these appear complicated, they're not. Loosen the heads using the slit on the top of the head with a coin or screwdriver. You should start to see all the way through the hole in the head. Hold string tight through the hole in the head WITHOUT wrapping the string around the head, I use needle nose pliers, then start tightening the knob (clockwise rotation) As you turn the knob to tighten, the head will not turn immediately like non locking tuners because the string locking mechanism is tightening. Keep holding the string tight. Once the string is locked, the head will begin to turn and tighten the string. No need to hold with the pliers anymore. Should tighten to tune within one rotation of the head, if not, loosen the head, pull harder with the pliers while locking and try again. All 6 strings tuned easily within one rotation on my first time using them. Super easy to find tune with these, and so far holding tune great! Highly recommended. The guitar I put them on had those cheap strat trapezoidal ones. Holes had to be drilled larger and new screw holes were drilled.Read full review

Nicely made high quality tuners. They fit on smaller headstocks where normal tuners would be too big.

Bought these to replace sh*tty ping tuners on my p09 larrivee. Such an improvement, guitar stays in tune for longer & look far better as well as having a very positive feel with no lash. Very pleased with them.
