Good phone & works well .The battery only lasts a couple of days but I have been told this is normal for a smartphone.Really easy to use for a real technophobe .

You will understand my poor review when I say that I bought this phone for just one purpose, and it failed on that. I should point out that I don't believe the problem is with the phone but with Google. However, I have been asked to review it so here is my experience. I had bought a Google Nest Mini but found it was unuseable until it had been setup by a smartphone. I have no smartphone and for the use it would be to me there is no point in my getting one. So I looked around to see how cheap I could get something to setup the Nest Mini & so bought this. I winced at having to spend an extra £15 ontop of what I had already paid but there it is. I chose an Android phone because it both are from Google so, surely, they would work together. I read all the instructions, did all the searches (from my PC) and went to install the app on my phone. I am unable to as Google says it cannot install to this phone. The app is described by Google as being for an Android, the phone is an Android, But I cannot get the app to setup the Nest Mini onto this phone. For this reason only it was a total waste of money. The phone itself looked in good condition, and starts and connects to my network with no problem. It even browses & connects to Google app website.Read full review

Hello there, when i was considering buying a smart phone my personal budget was apx £150. After a lot of research on the web i narrowed it down to; a second hand iphone 3gs or a new samsung galaxy ace. I wanted to buy the the phone outright so i could have a sim card on giffgaff, i didn't want to be locked into a contract. After much consideration i didn't like the fact that the iphone 3gs would probably be a couple of years old with an unknown amount of use, so opted for a new samsung galaxy ace. I have not been disapointed with the decision. The samsung galaxy ace performs really well considering its spec compared to the top of the line phones. Internet speed is pretty good, i use youtube a lot and i havn't any issues with it, email easy, messaging easy, weather good, apps good, photo's good. voice recognition very good. I can't really complain. My wife has an iphone 3gs so i can compare pretty well. The iphone 3gs when holding it does feel better quality, but that could be down to the weight the iphone 3gs is a bit heavier and that could be a good thing. The samsung galaxy ace is very light. Comparing the two is a matter of opinion. if both phones were new and at the same price i would have bought the iphone 3gs. but they are not the same price new and both phone arguably perform equally. bang for bucks the samsung galaxy ace is the phone to get. oh battery life, if your buying a smart phone expect to charge it nearly every day, no matter what make, it will now be part of your life (i'm going from an old nokia where charging was about twice a week). But it is worth the switch. 150 quid, buy a samsung galaxy ace :)Read full review
Overall the galaxy ACE is a good phone and it is relativly cheap compared to other Android Models. Although this may be down to having practically no onboard HDD Space, seeming low Memory and Small Processor. this sometimes makes scrolling through menus not as smooth as other devices such as the galaxy S2 or the High end HTC Models. all that said i have all the features that other android users enjoy and at an affordable price. The phone is worryingly light and almost feels like a toy, i would say its lacks the feel of a quality item and feels as cheap as it cost. Personally i think that the ACE is the perfect size for a phone not too big and not too small. if it was more powerfull i really feel this could have been a challenger for the Mighty i-phone. I am very happy with my purchase.
Bought my Samsung Galaxy Ace as my son has one and he recommended it to me,i like Samsung as they are very user friendly and easy to use and they can withstand a knock or two, only down side I find is the battery,i have to charge it daily and I turn off data when i'm not using it,its a popular phone so accessories are cheap and plentiful, all in all I like my phone its easy to use and it has all the necessary functions one requires from a smart phone.....ideal!
