The programming buttons should speak for themselves....Easy, just follow the arrows. The provided manual can help if you need it, especially when setting month and date. Picks up local radio stations pretty clearly. The clock display can be dimmed or brightened in four shades. A useful function for the visually impaired.

This radio seemed to offer nearly everything I was looking for but when I wanted to set the alarm I discovered it did not have a single day alarm option! You could only set it for all time (days 1-7); weekends only, or weekdays (1-5). I'm looking forward to retiring soon so I won't need the alarm options available on this clock but I do expect to have occasions where I need an alarm for individual events. I returned the clock without ever using it so I can't comment on the other features.

Buttons are functional, but there are three problems: 1) WAY too bright. No dimmer switch. It will be the brightest clock you have ever owned; 2) Radio alarm has volume that shoots up to HIGH in seconds instead of leaving at the low volume I want it at. So I'm fumbling to turn the damn thing off in the morning because it's too loud; 3) The snooze feature is only 7 minutes. I want 10 minutes.

Overall, a good radio alarm clock but I think there are better ones out there. Pros: - Love the aesthetic: clean, compact, just nice visually - Very cool automatic time zone and date feature (you basically plug it in and it knows the date/time automatically) - Easy to figure out how to use Cons: - The volume settings aren't great because even the lowest setting is quite loud. For someone who's sensitive to the jarring alarm clock noise, I would have preferred to manually set the volume. - The FM tuning was difficult. I got major static on most of my typical radio channels so it was difficult to actually find a station with a clear signal

After I figured out how to use the clock (in spite of the lousy instructions) it is really nice and easy to use. A quarter of the instructions dealt with why I shouldn't swallow the included battery and what would happen to me if I did. Seriously! The alarm has three settings for operation - (1) alarm goes off every day, (2) the five week days, (3) only the two weekend days. But nowhere did it tell me how to make it work only when I want an alarm on random days. Finally, by accident, my wife figured it out. It is really straight forward, but not explained at all. The brightness of the numbers is fine, and the radio actually picks up stations. I am happy with the clock.
